& definitions
Throughout my research I have come across many recurring new words. I encourage you to check here if there is anything you don't know the meaning of yet!

BIPOC: (acronym) stands for Black, Indigenous, and people of colour (used to refer to members of non-white communities).

Closed-loop: Production process of circular economy. Re-using all materials so nothing goes to waste.

Equity: Custom tools that identify and address inequality.

Equality: Evenly distributed tools and assistance.

Fossil Fuels: A general term for fuels found in the Earth's crust that contain carbon (CO2) and hydrogen (h2). They can be burned for energy. Formed from fossilized, buried remains of plants and animals that lived millions of years ago.

Global Goals: The 'common name' for the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (see below)

Inequality: Unequal access to opportunities.

Justice: Fixing the system to offer equal access to both tools and opportunities.

LGBTQIA+: (acronym) stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, intersex and asexual. Names of marginalised sexualities.

Petition: A formal written request, typically signed by many, appealing to authority in respect of a particular cause.

Recycle: Convert into reusable material.

Reduce: Make smaller or less in amount, degree or size.

Refuse: Say no to/ saying no to unnecessary things.

Renewable energy: Energy from a source that is not depleted when used (such as wind or solar power).

Re-purpose: Adapt for use in a different purpose.

Re-use: Use more then once/To use again.

Sustainable: Able to be maintained at a certain rate or level.

Sustainable (2): Conserving an ecological balance by avoiding depletion of natural resources.

Volunteer: Freely offering to take part in an enterprise or under-take a task.
