Annually in the month of May, people all across Australia register to host a morning tea in support of Australia's Cancer Council. This year there were 18,862 morning teas registered! We hosted ours last week on the morning of Thursday, 19th of May 2022, and it was really successful.♡ All the money raised goes towards providing online support, one-on-one support, training, research and care to everyone affected by cancer. Cancer affects so many individuals and families which is why making resources and research widely available to everyone is so important and a crucial part of increasing cancer survival rates.

There is something so exciting about the morning of a fundraiser. Seeing everyone bring in their contributions, buzzing about the cause and so many people offering their help for the event! We set up in the courtyard with tables covered in navy and yellow, posters set up along backdrops, a selection of teas and everyone's generously home-baked goods looking beautiful. Donations of $5 were collected in a large teapot upon entry as everyone gathered together for our amazing morning tea!
I am happy to report it was a huge success.♡ We ended up raising $323 for the Cancer Council and all had a lovely morning laughing and chatting in the sunshine (thankfully the rain held off up until the very last second!). Our donations alone can supply the equivalent of 202 children with SunSmart education, 4 calls to trained cancer professionals or 2 days of a PhD student's world-class research.

Thank you so much to every single person who participated and helped out in any way! We couldn't have done any of this without the amount of love and effort you all put in. I am so incredibly grateful that so many people contributed, whether it be baking, setting up, donating, researching or just genuinely caring. It feels really good to do something to make our world a little better, small things that add up.
It means so much to me that so many people really do care about making a difference, and today we did exactly that.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart x.
Here's to making a change!
